BrewSA was built on the idea it means something to say "Made in America". When you drink any one of our beers, rest assured it is 100% American-Made through and through. Whether it's the hops from Yakima Valley, Washington, to the wheat from North Dakota, to the malt from Montana. We are also 100% American Owned. But we weren't going to stop there. When BrewSA was still in it's development stage, we decided to make a commitment that we wanted to give back. Both to our community, our nation, and those who served her. As a result, we pledge 25% of profits to Veterans Charities.
Our Story
BrewSA began as a simple idea: Produce a truly All American Beer that tastes great. Unlike 'American-Made' beer companies that have since sold out to foreign interests. Think about what we once knew to be mass produced USA beer? Can they still call themselves that? So the concept of BrewSA was born.
With the company based in the New York Metro area, our first beer operations were to be produced out of the Midwest. After planning for the better part of a year and establishing the foundation for our company, we started the actual 'beer work' by creating the perfect recipe for our Signature BrewSA Lager. We sought out the finest ingredients across the nation. From there we contracted a brewery in Wisconsin to produce our blend. The beer was brewed, bottled and packaged. (And yes, even the bottles, caps, labels and cardboard cases came from the USA).
As our lone beer recipe was being produced in WI, we were hard at work back home establishing relationships with local vendors, distributors, wholesalers and of course getting the message out to consumers that a new Craft Beer was about to hit the market. With our distribution contracts in place, cases of beer started to be shipped to the North East for resale and consumption. Across various bars, pubs and restaurants around the Metro & Tri-State area, the first palates were being satiated! Barrel after barrel, case after case, truckload after truckload, BrewSA became a reality.
Bringing the Brewing Process Home
By 2015 we decided to shift gears and begin the process of opening our very own brewery along with a taproom where our patrons could enjoy their new favorite craft brew right where it is born. We secured the perfect location on The Nautical Mile in Freeport, NY for our new home. After a year of gutting the place and undergoing a complete renovation, the space transformed into a state of the art brew house and taproom. In our true patriotic fashion, the taps were flowing by Memorial Day, 2017. In fact we are celebrating 1 year open this coming March 31st!
When patrons step into the tapoom, they will immediately be awed by the impressive sight of six towering 14-foot tall fermenters. These stainless steel wonders along with the entire brewing operation stand behind the bar in full view from anywhere within the taproom.
Brewing the beer in our own facility provides many benefits. Most importantly we could expand our product line. We now offer a wide range of premium craft brews which are regularly on tap, as well as seasonal brews to fit the time of year. Click the "Beer" Tab above to see our full list of Brews.
We are hosting many private and non private events on a regular basis at our facility. BrewSA will soon be offering some company swag as well. Items such as tee shirts, hats, koozies, etc will be available for purchase at the facility.
